Oil must be added to the vacuum pump before using. VacMaster® model VP230 uses an oil vacuum pump. For shipping purposes there is no oil in the pump. Oil must be added. Locate the oil indicator window on the side of the machine and fill until glass is 3/4 full. Do not overfill with oil.
